Discover the actions carried out by the microFusa schools during the first semester of this year. Activities focused on promoting the work and effort of our students

This year it will go down in the annals of history as the coronavirus pandemic. We will remember it as that year in which we spent a few months in confinement, the year of the masks. These first months have been hard in many ways, but at microFusa schools we have at least had the opportunity to celebrate some of the events that we usually organize with the aim of giving visibility to the work and effort of our students. Some of these actions were carried out before the difficult situation in which we found ourselves began, and they developed with complete normality. In others we had to adapt to the conditions of confinement and, joining the philosophy of the hashtag #Istayathome, we did everything possible to continue giving voice to our students.

microFusaContest #yomequedoproduciendo

Between April 5 and 8 we held a very special contest focused on our schools in Barcelona and Madrid. The concept of the call was to encourage creativity among our students since confinement does not have to be an impediment to continue cultivating our musical ability.

The idea was very simple: to produce an original song from any musical genre. We wanted our students to record at home while producing. And they shared it on social networks.

The requirements were also feasible:

• We wanted an original song of any musical genre of between 2 and 4 minutes.
• During the song, there had to be a musical ‘hook’ that contained the words ‘coronavirus’ (or covid19) and ‘I keep producing’. Whether it was sung, rapped, with a vocoder, with a talking synth, etc.
• Regarding the delivery format, we create an Activity on the Virtual Campus where the file can be uploaded in WAV format.

The winner was chosen by vote in the Campus and this was his prize:
• A video montage will be made with all your videos and the chosen theme. This video will be promoted by networks and will be the ambassador of the #yomequedoproduciendo movement of microFusa.
• The winning theme will be part of the MicrofusaVol 2 Collection with the best projects of the school launched by MFRecords.
• And the most voted person will also receive the FocusriteScarlett Solo production kit, valued at € 200.

The winners of the contest were:

Barcelona school

Inaction – Mateo Guiu

Madrid School

Isolation – Dani Max

And remember that both in our school in Barcelona, in Madrid and in the online school, the training continues and we are already preparing the next school year. If you think that music is your future, start planning and choose your course.
